House clearance & moving in Frankfurt
Moving to Frankfurt, leaving Germany or clearing a relative's flat? Räum n'Go handles house clearance, flat clearance and removals in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area, and we communicate with you in English from the first message to the key handover. You get a free survey, a fixed written price and a broom-clean flat with photos of every room.
What we do for expats, consulates and relocation companies
Räum n'Go is a Frankfurt company for removals, house clearance and transport. We work with a team and a 3.5-tonne van within about 40 km of Frankfurt. Many of our English-speaking clients are on a tight schedule: a contract at a bank ends, a posting at a consulate is over, or a relocation company needs a flat emptied before the new tenant arrives. We take care of the physical work and the German details around it.
- Flat and house clearance: we empty the whole property, sort for recycling and disposal and hand it over broom-clean.
- Estate clearance: after a death, we clear the home discreetly, set aside documents and personal items and offset anything sellable against the price.
- Office clearance: furniture, IT and files out, with certified document destruction to DIN 66399.
- Moving within Frankfurt and Rhine-Main: team with van, furniture assembly and the parking permit on request.
- Final cleaning: so the flat is ready for the landlord's inspection.

German details we handle or explain for you
Bulky waste (Sperrmüll) and the FES
In Frankfurt, bulky waste is collected by the FES, the city's waste company. According to the FES, households connected to the city's waste service can have up to 10 m³ collected per appointment free of charge (as of October 2026, please check before booking). You must book a date in advance, carry everything to the kerb yourself and put it out no earlier than the evening before. Putting items out without an appointment can lead to a fine. Paint, small items and fittings are not taken. For a full flat, a clearance company is usually faster. Our guide bulky waste or clearance (German) compares both.
Parking permit for the removal van (Halteverbot)
Many Frankfurt streets in Sachsenhausen, Nordend or the Westend have little space and residents' parking. For a move, a temporary no-parking zone in front of the building is often needed. It has to be applied for with the city's road traffic office in advance, and the signs must be in place several days before the move. We can arrange this for you. Details are in our guide no-parking zone in Frankfurt (German).
Broom-clean handover (besenrein)
German rental contracts often require the flat to be returned besenrein, literally "broom-clean": empty, swept and free of coarse dirt. Some contracts ask for more. Check the handover clause in your contract. If you want to be on the safe side, book our final cleaning (German). Our guide on what besenrein means (German) explains the term in detail.
Registering and deregistering at the Bürgeramt
Under the German Federal Registration Act, you must register your new address (Anmeldung) within two weeks of moving in. If you leave Germany and do not move into another German home, you must deregister (Abmeldung) within two weeks of moving out, and you can do so up to one week before. In Frankfurt this is done at a Bürgeramt, usually by appointment. Our guide registering in Frankfurt (German) has the details.

Leaving Germany: clearance and move in one go
When you leave Frankfurt, part of your household goes into the shipping container, part is sold or donated, and the rest has to go. We can take care of the rest: furniture you do not ship, kitchen items, the cellar and the bike in the courtyard. If you combine a local move or a transport to the shipping company's warehouse with a clearance, you save 10 %. Our house clearance service (German) and moving service (German) pages show what is included.
Estate clearance from abroad
If a parent or relative has died in Frankfurt and you live abroad, you do not need to fly in for every step. We do the survey by video, set aside documents, photos and personal items, and send you photos after the clearance. Sellable items are offset against the price and listed separately, so all heirs can see what was credited. More on this on our page about estate clearance (German).
